Redesigning a safety leader

With plans to expand operations across the globe, Eflare understood that relaunching their brand and online experience were vital for success.

As a world-leader in LED safety technology, offering products to the emergency services, mining, aviation, industrial and transport, Eflare contracted us to help them increase their brand awareness and exposure globally with a strong brand redevelopment.

The brief stated that they didn’t want to move too far away from their current branding, but that a refresh was needed to modernise the company. Due to the long shelf-life of their products, they wanted a cost-effective way to refresh their brand without having to remove product lines.

The project involved brand development and guidelines, a new digital UX/UI strategy and the development of a new company website.

Digital Transformation

We felt that the brand needed to reflect the products key features, which led us to using fonts that “glow” against a dark background, like how the beacon glows in the night. The website UI/UX design revolved around the product, from the colours, the movement of buttons, and the concept of sliding call to actions.

After the initial consultation and the creation of a functional specification. It was decided to build the website on CraftCMS. eflare wanted the capability to add a variety of content layouts and designs to support a comprehensive level of information for their business and individual products. Using CraftCMS enabled us to build a flexible content structure which would support:

  • Product sliders
  • Related posts & case studies
  • Distributor map & GEO location

Using a flex-build ethos provides Eflare with complete control over their website, including changing the aesthetic of the site and the functionality of the content through a drag and drop feature, without having to delete anything. From start to finish, flexibility was the priority.

In addition, the site features a password protected Distributor Access area. Once you have applied and been verified as an approved distributor, you can login to the site and view tailored information and branding documents appropriate for you, including your product pricing.
