Master Builders Victoria needed more than a traditional website rebuild. They were in the middle of a broader digital transformation and required a platform that could bring together memberships, training, ecommerce, events and operational systems into one connected ecosystem.

Designing a scalable member platform
The platform was designed to support a highly complex ecosystem spanning, business information, news, training, ecommerce, events, resources and member account management, while remaining intuitive for both public users and existing members.
Working closely with the MBAV team through a series of consultancy and discovery sessions, we mapped how different users interacted with the organisation and identified opportunities to simplify key journeys across the platform. This process informed the development of detailed UX wireframes and UI design prototypes, allowing workflows, content structures and user experiences to be refined collaboratively before development commenced.
Building a flexible platform for long-term growth
A major focus of the project was creating a flexible digital framework capable of supporting both large-scale content management and deeply integrated member functionality without compromising usability.
To achieve this, the platform was rebuilt using a fully customised WordPress architecture with a modular block-based custom theme, allowing internal teams to manage dynamic landing pages, structured content and ongoing campaign activity through a consistent and scalable framework.
This approach provides MBAV with the flexibility to continue evolving the platform over time while supporting the operational complexity required across event, training, ecommerce and member services.
Member platform
For members, everything comes together through a dedicated portal experience designed to simplify how they interact with MBAV online.
Users can manage their accounts, access member-only resources, view training history and handle transactions in one place, with the experience adapting based on membership level and user role.
Behind the scenes, the platform is connected in real time with Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring that member data, training activity, ecommerce purchases and account information remain synchronised across MBAV’s wider operational systems.
This means the member portal is not just a front-end experience, it operates as a direct extension of MBAV’s internal business systems, giving both members and internal teams a consistent and up-to-date view of activity across the organisation.

The end result is a unified digital platform that brings together membership, events, training, ecommerce and internal systems into a single connected ecosystem.
